Digital Project Manager

Full-Time

We are looking for a digital project manager to work closely with both our clients and team members to understand client goals, clarify and refine project scopes, and keep projects on track.

As a project manager at Kalon, you would be responsible for documenting tasks, allocating resources, and day-to-day communication with clients and internal teams. You must be empathetic and demanding, cultivating a culture of efficiency, productivity, and progress on your projects.

You’ll lead a variety of projects, including overseeing web and mobile app development, design iterations, documenting and prioritizing requirements, collaborating with our brilliant designers, developers and QA engineers to design, build, and ship products.

Responsibilities

Here are some examples of what you would be doing day to day:

  • Schedule project kick-off calls and meet with team members weekly for project check-ins.
  • Create milestones and monitor project progress and budget.
  • Update clients on a regular basis with the progress of active projects.
  • Review team workloads and upcoming deadlines and propose schedules to meet deadlines with available team members.
  • Coordinate with QA team to prioritize and triage bugs.
  • Create release notes and coordinate production rollouts with clients.
  • Define and document new scopes of work, creating tasks for our designers and developers.

Experience

You’ll need to be able to work well in our technical environment. Here are things we’re looking for (note: you may not have all of these, that’s okay).

  • You have worked in a technology based business before, whether at an agency, product company, or software development shop.
  • You know how the web works and how a web app works, which means you’re aware of technical constraints when talking to clients. You don’t hesitate to ask a lot of questions in order to define an app.
  • You can take a set of requirements and turn it into actionable tasks for designers and developers. You are passionate about finding innovative, efficient, and effective ways to document those tasks.
  • You can guide clients from vague ideas to clear scopes of work.
  • You’re able to put yourself in the shoes of an end-user and advocate on their behalf.
  • You can help developers make informed implementation decisions.
  • You're familiar with QA testing and can distinguish a bug from a functional update from a new feature request.
  • You're familiar with agile and scrum methodologies

Skills

  • You communicate clearly and professionally. You know how to listen well, synthesize, write, and speak clearly.
  • You were born with an awareness and appreciation for details.
  • You can juggle multiple projects at a time.
  • You build long-term relationships with clients based on thorough planning, timely and professional communication, and intelligent problem-solving.
  • You are not afraid to have a hard conversation, but you do it with tack and humility.
  • You are self-motivated and can make your own decisions.
  • You anticipate problems and craft solutions before they arise.
  • You demonstrate integrity (you do what you say you’re going to do).

Location

This can be a fully remote or hybrid position if you live near Atlanta, GA. Most of our team is remote, but for those who are close to our office in Canton, GA, we typically meet up in the office 1-2 days per week.
